overview

This full house renovation in Helensburgh transformed an existing home into a light-filled, relaxed family residence with a clean coastal feel. Shire Build completed a comprehensive update across both the interior and exterior, creating a more open, connected layout while giving the home a fresh and cohesive architectural identity.

Large openings and expansive glazing draw natural light deep into the home and strengthen the connection between the internal living spaces and the surrounding garden. Warm timber flooring, crisp white finishes and soft neutral tones create a calm, understated interior, complemented by thoughtfully detailed spaces including the bathroom, laundry, bedrooms and generous living areas.

Externally, the home was refreshed with horizontal weatherboard-style cladding, new windows and doors, updated rooflines and a restrained palette that suits its leafy Helensburgh setting. New terraces, steps, timber detailing and landscaped areas further improve the way the home connects with the outdoors.

The finished renovation feels bright, practical and contemporary while retaining the relaxed character of a family home. It is a complete transformation designed around everyday living, natural light and a strong indoor-outdoor connection.
