Meet Craig Parker
Shire Build was founded by Craig Parker in 2004 in the Sutherland Shire and Greater Sydney area. Craig founded Shire Build to provide high quality, affordable renovations, new home builds and duplexes to local clientele.
We find our clients are typically looking for a smaller business to work with where they can have a personal relationship with both the company owner and their Site Manager throughout the build process. This ensures our clients have the opportunity for flexibility, close oversight and frequent input throughout the build process to achieve a finished result they love, without surprises in the budget.
Honesty and Integrity is at the core of our business ensuring we provide a professional, trustworthy service. We aim to make the building process as smooth and easy as possible for clients, closely managing budget and clearly communicating throughout the process so you know what to expect.
One of the aspects we love about working in The Shire, is the opportunity we have to train and mentor young work experience students and apprentices from our local community and watch them flourish as they become fully competent professionals in the work force. Over the past eighteen years, we’ve had countless work experience students, many of whom have continued as our apprentices and some who now run their own successful businesses.
We are proud to partner with The Youth Partnership to provide work placement opportunities and mentor our younger team members to help shape the next generation of carpenters and builders in our community.

At Shire Build we pride ourselves on our exceptional communication along with a bespoke management platform to make sure you always know how your project is progressing. Its all part of our commitment to make sure your project runs as smoothly and stress-free as possible!
Once you've submitted an online enquiry and chosen to proceed with a feasibility quote, we meet to discuss your requirements, plans, constraints, budget, compliance requirements and our approach.
Close commumnication is managed with regular on-site meetings and our management program 'CoConstruct' accessible on any device. Here you can monitor real-time info on your project including progress pictures, costs, invoices, brief variations etc.
We guide you through the design and approval phase, including engaging architects, engineers and other suppliers as required, along with lodging development applications where necessary. This phase ends with a detailed design and budget.
It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Here you receive a handover folder with warranties, certificates and information about our continued commitments should you need us again in future.
